Minor with a major 6th, the Dorian scale, brings a hip, jazzy, uplifting sound perfect for jamming and connecting.
Building the first Eb La Sirena meant rebuilding our tools from scratch to create a smaller instrument, an exhausting but exciting process. It was made for Kabecao after long conversations shaping the scale together, and we still remember him playing it for the first time at the Yishama workshop entrance in Israel, the start of a fast friendship.
The goal was a natural, uncluttered layout with rich possibilities in the bottom notes. Its smaller size makes fast playing and low notes easier to reach, plus it’s light and easy to travel with.
